Chinese Five Spice Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 whole bone-in chicken breasts, with skin
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry. Sprinkle with five-spice powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Wrap tightly in aluminium foil and refrigerate to 'marinate' for at least 2 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  3. Remove wrapping from chicken breasts and place them in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and bake at 175°C for 45 minutes, or until cooked through and juices run clear.
