Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup poppy seeds
- 3 cups plain flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 165°C. Grease and flour two 9 x 5 inch loaf pans.
- Mix the flour, salt, sugar, and soda in a mixing bowl. Add vanilla, milk, eggs, and oil. Beat for five minutes with an electric mixer. Stir in the poppy seeds. Pour batter into loaf pans.
- Bake for one hour. Cool on wire racks.
