Seasoned Salts

Seasoned salts are a blend of regular salt with a combination of other seasonings such as dry mustard, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder. Some ready-made seasoned salts may also contain monosodium glutamate (MSG).

Seasoned salt may also refer to salt that has been blended with only one other seasoning, such as garlic salt, celery salt or onion salt. These salts contain extracts of the vegetable (or the seeds) and add an instantly recognisable flavour of the additional seasoning.
