Block Salt
Block salt (also known as pickling salt or cut lump salt) is a pure, fine-grained salt that is produced without the addition of anti-caking chemicals or iodine. Its lack of additives make it ideal for pickling fruits, vegetables and meats as it creates a very clear, attractive brine that does not become cloudy over time. It may also be sprinkled on foods to enhance their flavour; however, as it is fairly concentrated, only a small amount is required.
