Walnut & Mushroom Ketchups

Walnut and mushroom ketchups were once both highly popular condiments, but seem to have fallen somewhat out of favour in recent years. This is a shame, as both varieties are excellent for perking up dark, savoury sauces and dishes such as steak and kidney pies. Mushroom ketchup is particularly good with robust fish dishes and hearty meat recipes, whilst walnut ketchup is ideal for flavouring stews and cheese dishes.
