Garlic Chive
The garlic chive (Allium tuberosum), also known as the Chinese chive, has narrow, flat green leaves and edible white flowers, both of which have a noticeable aroma and flavour of garlic. This herb is usually eaten whilst still in bud, although they may also be picked later when in full flower to act as a decorative garnish to salads. Garlic chives are particularly popular in Indian, Chinese and South African cooking.
