Cracked Wheat

Cracked wheat is a form of wheat produced by crushing (or 'cracking') wholewheat kernels into smaller pieces. The pieces cook faster than wholegrain wheat, and add a nutty flavour and crunchy texture to a range of foods. These dishes include multi-grain breads, breakfast cereals, pilafs and stuffings. Cracked wheat is available in health food shops, natural food shops and most supermarkets.
