Dried Cape Gooseberry

The bright orange Cape gooseberry (or physalis) may be dried to produce an acid-sweet brown fruit that looks somewhat like a white Muscatel raisin. They may be used in cakes, salads or pilaffs, their tiny seeds adding a pleasantly crunchy texture.
