Almond Oil

Almond oil is a clear, pale yellow oil produced from pressed almond kernels. It has a subtle toasted almond flavour and aroma that works well in salad dressings, sauces and in desserts. It is also used for making confectionery, although unlike almond extract, its flavour is not concentrated enough to provide a strong almond taste. Its high smoke point 260°C (495ºF) makes it suitable for high heat cooking, such as sautéing, shallow frying and deep-frying.

Almond oil is a good source of vitamin E (39 mg/100 g), is low in saturated fat and high in monounsaturated fat (70%).
