Can Openers

Also known as a tin opener, this device is an essential piece of kitchen equipment. One of the easiest types to use simply clamps on the rim of the can, and then cuts through the metal using cutting wheels which are turned by means of a butterfly handle. Some versions cut the lid away from the inside of the can, whilst others remove the entire top of the tin.
