Baking Fish
Baking is suitable for small whole fish and individual cuts such as steaks and fillets.
Method
Preheat the oven to 190ºC/ 375ºF/ Gas mark 5. Brush the fish with melted butter and season with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Place into a well buttered, shallow ovenproof dish, and bake in the centre of the oven for the times indicated in the table below.
Alternatively, the fish may be wrapped in foil to seal in the flavours and aromas. Place the fish in a parcel of buttered foil, and sprinkle with lemon juice, salt and pepper before baking in the centre of the oven.
